Class Descriptions

 
AWESOME ABS:  A 30 minute workout designed to focus on strengthening your core and toning all parts of your abdominals including your obliques.
  *   **   ***

BOOT CAMP:  This class includes sports moves, resistance training exercises, plyometrics, and cardio respiratory drills. It is ideal for those who are looking to enhance their fitness levels in an easy to follow format. This class could be held outdoors, weather permitting.
  *   **   ***

BUTTS & GUTS:  30 minutes dedicated to flattening your stomach and improving your assets in the rear! This class includes a combination of exercises utilizing the step, weights, Body Bars, Exer-tubes, and Resista-Ball.

CARDIO CHALLENGE:   Challenge yourself to take your cardio class to the next level. This class is a combination of various cardio formats including HI/LO, Step, and/or Kickboxing. Your heart will definitely be pumping! 5-10 minutes of abdominal exercises will follow the cardio workout.

EXTREME STEP:   This class is a challenging, high intensity workout featuring more complicated and more intense choreography than a basic step class. Step III is ideal for those wanting an advanced level workout.

FIT FOR LIFE:  An easy to do cardio, strengthening and stretching class designed specifically for those who want a fun but slower paced class. This class is ideal for older adults. FIT FOR LIFE MEMBERSHIPS REQUIRED.

KEISER CYCLING:  This is a group cycling class that incorporates endurance and strength training. You will ride at your own pace and set your own resistance. Anyone can enjoy this fabulous workout! We recommend padded bike shorts and a full water bottle! See the front desk for details. First come, first serve. Limited bikes available.

KETTLEBELL TRAINING:  This is a 30 minute, high intensity class that provides for weight loss, cardio endurance, strength, power, speed, and agility training. This is a fees based class. 10 sessions for only $50.

KICKBOXING:  This is a high intensity cardio and strength workout including combinations of blocks, kicks, and punches. Quality instructions and proper technique are included. This class is not for the faint of heart!!!

POWER PUMP:  Appropriate for all fitness levels, this class will redefine your body through resistance training exercises, organized to follow the principles of pyramid training, super-sets, and straight sets. This class is the perfect compliment to your cardio workouts.

SILVER SNEAKERS:  Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are offered for resistance, and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support. SILVER SNEAKER MEMBERSHIPS REQUIRED.

STEP XPRESS:  This class is an intermediate step class that is designed to give you a great cardio workout without the complex choreography of an extreme step class in just 30 minutes!

WOMEN ON WEIGHTS:  Discover the magic of weight training! Women on Weights is a 6 week class where women learn different resistance training techniques using free weights, machines and bands. Participants will build muscle, gain strength and burn fat.

YOGA FLEX:  Yoga flex is appropriate for all fitness levels. This class will guide you through Yoga postures, stretches, and pilates type movements. This is a great way to increase your flexibility, strengthen your core muscles, and help reduce stress. This class is suitable for various levels from fit beginners to experienced yoga students.

ZUMBA:  The routines feature interval training sessions where fast and slow rhythms and resistance training are combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat. Add some Latin flavor and International zest into the mix and you've got ZUMBA!

* Beginner   -   Low calorie burning activity (approx. 100-200 calories)
** Intermediate   -   Moderate calorie burning activity (250-400 calories)
*** Advanced   -   High Calorie burning activity (400-600 calories)
